Artist Profile:

Australian artist Hans Kreuzen was born in Holland and grew up in a small country town where his love for nature and interest in drawing started from an early age. After moving to Australia, Hans fell in love with the automotive custom paint scene and has built and airbrushed many award winning Hotrod's, Harley's and just about anything that can be painted.
His talents have also let him to works in the film industry across the world. And now after more than Twenty Five years of painting, his works of art and prints are sought after both here in Australia and around the globe with his latest commissioned artwork adorning the corporate rooms in the Olympic "Stadium Australia" in Sydney.
Hans published his first series of limited edition prints in December 2000 and will continue publishing his unique style of artwork, often producing a photo realism, created by both traditional brush strokes and airbrush .

The fruit of the forest depicted is called the Brisbane Laurel.

About this painting: The painting depict's a pair of Pale Headed Rosellas at the edge of "Lake Mc Kenzie" found on World Heritage Listed Fraser Island Queensland Australia, It is the largest fresh water lake found on the island. This painting is the second of the Fraser Island Series. I plan to paint all the parrots found on Fraser Island including the endangered Ground parrot. I hope that my paintings will make a difference in the conservation and awareness of our bird life found on Fraser Island and within Australia.

About this painting: The painting depict's a pair of Australian King Parrots at the edge of World Heritage Listed "Lake Wabby" found on Fraser Island Queensland Australia, It is the deepest lake on the island and was formed by a sand blow damming the natural watercourse. This painting is the first of the Fraser Island Series. I plan to paint all the parrots found on Fraser Island including the endangered Ground parrot. I hope that my paintings will make a difference in the conservation and awareness of our bird life found on Fraser Island and within Australia.
