About the paintings:
The original paintings in the "Aussie Swapmeet Series" are brushed and airbrushed
using Gouache and Acrylic Lacquer as a medium.
The paintings depict a Australian swapmeet on a hot summers day,
It also shows automobiles and collectable items unique to Australia,
The cars are right hand drive and the pedal cars and selected toys
where made by "Cyclops Toys".
In the painting titled:
"The Entrance" It shows a dirt road with a banner leading into the Swapmeet.
The 1934 Ford styleside Coupe was first produced in Australia, The model T Coupe
Has a note on the door saying: Must sell today or lose wife,
Only burned out once, Only towed on Sunday's,
Allway's parked under tree in creek, Offer's
In the painting it also shows Aussie icon logo's like,
"the XXXX man" and Rossela
In the painting titled:
"Site Number One" It shows a "KEEP LEFT" sign, These signs where used on
traffic island's and used to be light up at night.
The pedal car was advertised in it's day as a Cyclops Comet first advertised 1953.
The chopped top on the 32 coupe is starting to crack and the note on the
1946 Ford say's "back in 5 gone for pie & slab"
In the painting titled:
"Site Number Two" the pedal car was advertised in it's day as a
Chevrolet first advertised 1940.
The little Red Trike was the first advertised in 1932.
By the way the little note on the Green Styleside Chevrolet Coupe say's
"ute not 4 sale", The owner must have had a lot of
people asking if it was up for sale
In the painting titled:
"Site Number Three" it shows a old 1937 Chevy truck full of old toy's with a sign saying
"Toy's for swap only", The pedal plane has a prop that use to spin when pedalling.
In the painting it also shows Aussie icon logo's like,
" Cyclops Toys" and Arnott's
These Four prints are mean't to be framed separately, But they do turn into a
panoramic view when hung together.
