About the painting:
The original painting was painted by brush and airbrush
using Gouache and Acrylic as a medium.
The painting depicts a dry lake speed trial held in 1991 on
lake Gairdner South Australia,
I painted this painting in tribute to all the Hot rodders and
that make the long trip to the Aussie salt flats every year,
and put on a great show for the fan's to enjoy.
The cars are purpose built for this type of speed trail event, and Australia
has one of the best dry lakes in the world, "90 miles of it"
I would like to thank the D.L.R.A. for the use of their logo
and their help in research.
It is my hope that my painting will enhance the sport and attract even more
overseas entrants to our great salt lakes.
